How payment works
ClassWallet, HSA, and superbills
No insurance billing means no prior authorization and no diagnosis required to start. ESA+ families can pay through ClassWallet, since Anchor EEC is an official NCSEAA provider. HSA funds are typically reimbursement: you pay at the visit, then submit your receipt to be paid back. Superbills are available on request for out-of-network insurance claims.
Evaluation and testing deposits
A $150 non-refundable deposit holds your evaluation or testing date and is applied to your total. Remaining fees are due at the time of service.
Therapy cancellations
Please give 48 hours' notice to reschedule a therapy session. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be charged a fee.
Your right to a Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care will cost. Under the law, health care providers must give patients who do not have insurance, or who are not using insurance, an estimate of the bill for non-emergency services. Ask us for one at any time before scheduling. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute it. Learn more at cms.gov/nosurprises.
Questions about fees
How much does a psychological evaluation cost?
Evaluation fees depend on the questions being answered and are shared at your consultation. Each fee covers intake, all testing, scoring, the written report, and an in-person feedback session, and you will know the exact fee before testing begins.
Why doesn't Anchor EEC accept insurance?
Private pay lets Rebecca keep fees lower than most practices, spend the time a thorough evaluation needs, and skip insurance requirements such as prior authorization or a diagnosis on file.
Can I get reimbursed by my insurance?
Possibly. On request, we provide a superbill, an itemized receipt with the codes your insurer needs. Reimbursement depends on your plan and is not guaranteed, so call your insurer and ask about out-of-network mental health or psychological testing benefits before you start.
Can I use HSA funds or an ESA+ grant?
Yes. Anchor EEC is on the official NCSEAA provider list and accepts ClassWallet payments, so ESA+ families can pay through ClassWallet or pay at the visit and request reimbursement. HSA funds usually work as reimbursement: you pay at the visit, then submit your receipt to be paid back, and eligibility depends on your plan. ESA+ covers testing and therapy related to a student's academic progress.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payment is due at the time of service. Evaluations and testing require a $150 non-refundable deposit to hold your date, applied to your total. We accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash. We do not accept checks.
What is a Good Faith Estimate?
Under the federal No Surprises Act, if you are not using insurance you have the right to a written estimate of expected charges before non-emergency services begin. Anchor EEC provides one before your first appointment. If your final bill is $400 or more above the estimate, you may dispute it.
Not sure which service you need?
Call and describe what is going on. Rebecca will tell you which evaluation or service fits, and what it will cost, before you commit to anything.
